On January 28, the Elagino Tubing Park hosted the ski racing competition for the Alexander Legkov Olympic Champion Cup.
Athletes and amateurs in 20 age categories tried their hand at distances of 1, 3, 5 and 10 km. The youngest skier is only 7 years old, and the oldest is 78!
Ski enthusiasts came to the ski race not only from Naro-Fominsk city district and nearby cities – Obninsk, Maloyaroslavets, Mozhaysk and Podolsk, Odintsovo and Troitsk, from Moscow, but also skiers from Kaluga, Bryansk, Belgorod, Smolensk, Lipetsk, Chekhov, Dubna, Dmitrov, Serpukhov, and even from Krasnodar and Khabarovsk. The ski race gathered more than 1,000 participants!
A real celebration of sports for athletes, coaches and fans! Every year, more and more people are starting to engage in physical education and lead a healthy lifestyle. Both the youth and the older generation show special diligence. The Alexander Legkov Cup is included in the unified calendar plan of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region.
Many thanks to the administration of the Naro-Fominsk City District and personally to the Head of the district Roman Shamne, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region Dmitry Abarenov, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Regional Duma Oleg Rozhnov and Deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma Alexander Legov, CEO of the Elinar Group of Companies Igor Kuimov, the entire team of the Elagino Tubing Park and volunteers for the creation and holding of such significant competitions.
